Bonfire Buzz: Recharge & Refresh

As entrepreneurs, you work hard.  Real hard.  As hard as you work though, it’s important to remember to take time off to recharge your batteries and give creativity an opportunity to flourish again.  Long holiday weekends are the perfect time to take some time off from working for yourself to reset, regroup and revitalize yourself before you are too far gone and can’t function in the way you need to run your business.

Create a Plan

Worried the business you’ve spent your time and effort to build won’t be able to survive if you take some time off?  Create a comprehensive action plan for your business before you take time off so that you can truly relax and enjoy your vacation.

Take a Short Break

You don’t have to have a lot of time in order to take a break from work; all you need is a few minutes during the day to spend some time focusing on what makes you happy.  Try some of these nano-vacation ideas from Women Grow Business the next time you need some “me time”.

Boost Your Business

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is take some time away to allow your mind to unravel from work stress and focus on other things.  Your business will thrive after you take a short break if you take conscious steps to make your vacations work for your business.

Harness Your Addiction

One prevalent characteristic of an entrepreneur is the single-mindedness that drove them to start their own business; however this drives often borders on obsession.  Try turning off your devices at night and take some time to refresh your mind and reconnect with the people and things that matter.

Let Go

At a loss for ways you can let go of work and just relax your mind?  Try one of these forty ways to unwind and enjoy life.

So this weekend, grab your loved ones, turn off all your devices, and just relax.  Use this time to detach your brain from work and just let it go where it wants; you never know you might be surprised what it comes up with!
